The Leg 1 checkpoints take in five of the ‘must-see’ features of the beautiful Mt Buffalo Plateau.
At ‘The Hump’ - approximately the half-way point of the leg and 1.5 hours into the race, the first teams to arrive were, in order, Bull of Africa, Tangerine, Salomon Blackheart, Blackheart.com.au, 4TC, securify.co.nz, Nga Rakau. Four of the 7 have arrived from the anti-clockwise direction.
The drizzle is now light but steady.
